Summer Academy Flight Experience - 2012

 

If you really want to learn to fly, the Summer Flight Experience can help you get started!

 

The Aviation Education Foundation of Colorado, Inc (AEFCO) will be sponsoring its eighth annual Summer Flight Experience at Meadow Lake Airport, Peyton, CO., Wednesday, June 13, 2012 through Friday, June 22, 2012.

 

 

"Students will come away enthusiastic, inspired and ready to meet the new challenges and disciplines required to obtain a private pilot's license." said Richard Martin, AEFCO President.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

What Happens ?

 

Participants will learn about aircraft systems, aerodynamics, weather and navigation during the daily ground school. All participants will be eligible for the Summer Flight Scholarships for flight instruction.

 

Hours of operation are weekdays, 8:00 am - 4:00 pm, beginning Wednesday, June 13th, at the MLAA Hangar (click here for map). Lunch and snacks are provided.

The Summer Flight Experience FREE to those selected.

 

The Aviation Education Foundation of Colorado, Inc. (AEFCO) is a 501 (c)(3) tax-exempt charitable and educational organization offering aviation related training and scholarships to the local community.  Donations are tax-deductible.

How Do I Apply?

Space is limited, so only selected individuals will be able to attend.  To be considered, candidates must range in age from 15-19 and submit an application along with a one or two page essay describing their aviation goals and how they think this program will help them reach those goals and a transcript.

 

Please download the Guidelines and Application for more detail about the objectives, eligibility, and important dates. Complete the Application and submit along with your transcript and essay to AEFCO at 7505 Mallard Drive, Peyton, CO 80831, by May 9, 2012, the application deadline.

 

The AEFCO Board of Directors will schedule interviews with applicants and parents on Saturdays - May 12,19, and 26, 2012 to provide an overview of the program and answer questions. If you have a preferred date, please contact Richard Martin. mailto:wemartin@sprintmail.com
