Young people, age 8 through 17, come for a FREE airplane ride.

The Aviation Education Foundation of Colorado, Inc. (AEFCO), a 501(c)(3) tax-exempt charitable organization, was formed In March 2002,to provide training and scholarships for youth with a desire to enter the aviation industry. (Read more)

Programs

  • Aviation Summer Flight Experience

This program allows selected young people, ages 14 - 19, to participate in aviation activities and enable them to make future career choices involving aviation and aerospace fields. (Find more information)

 

  • Private Pilot Exam Prep Course

This year long class meets monthly to prepare students to pass the FAA Private Pilot Exam. Currently there are 22 students enrolled in this class. (Find the schedule here).

 

  • Scholarships

 

The Hank Bartlett Scholarship will be awarded annually for flight training to a young person who has passed the FAA Private Pilot Written Exam.

Application Deadline

May 19, 2008

 

Spend 8 days in ground school training and flying with a Certified Flight Instructor to log actual flight hours in your log book.
