Pilot Prep Course

 

 

The first step to becoming a Private Pilot is to pass the FAA Private Pilot Knowledge Exam. The mission of this class is to prepare students to pass the exam.

 

You will meet 2 Saturdays a month during the school year, 8:30 AM - 12:30 PM..

 

 

You need to:

 

  • Complete the Pilot Prep Course application
  • Obtain your school transcript (Minimum GPA considered: 2.5 unweighted)
  • Mail both to: AEFCO, 7505 Mallard Drive, Colorado Springs, CO 80831 OR Email both to Sandy Martin
  • DEADLINE to apply: Friday, September 8, 2017

 

After we receive your application:

 

  • AEFCO Board will schedule interviews with student and at least 1 parent. Board may waive the interview for returning students.
  • 2017 Candidates will be notified: no later than Thursday, September 21, 2017

  • Aviation Summer Flight Experience

This program allows selected young people, ages 15 - 19, to participate in aviation activities and enable them to make future career choices involving aviation and aerospace fields. (Find more information)

 

  • Private Pilot Exam Prep Course

This class meets monthly during the school year to prepare students to pass the FAA Private Pilot Exam. (Find more information)
